Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks so much for having me, Grace!
What made you want to become a writer?
I’ve always been a ravenous reader and boasted a pretty impressive comic book collection in my teens. I’m also an incurable daydreamer. Put the two together, and it was only a matter of time before I fell completely and obsessively in love with writing.
What are your hobbies?Flying, reading, daydreaming, oh – and spoiling my dog. She’s a sixty-pound Gordon Setter who’s convinced she’s a lap dog.
What are your favorite TV Shows?I dream wistfully of the day Firefly comes back. Until then, I’m content with Spartacus, Being Human and some specials on the History and Discovery channels.
Who are your favorite writers, series, books?J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld, Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark, and the list goes on and on. I am a total sucker for a gritty alpha male and a HEA (Happily Ever After).
What genre do you write?I write two related genres. My first novel is a steamy fantasy romance, and I just finished an action-packed urban fantasy.
Let’s talk about your new novel that's coming out?
I’m still tingly with excitement. My first book, Knightfall, came out in April (I’ve still got goose bumps). It’s the first in the Guardians of the Seven Seals fantasy romance series. In a nutshell, it’s the story of a half-breed angel believed to be the harbinger of Armageddon, and the seductive knight assigned to kill her. To Aspiring Writers, what’s the best advice that you can give them?
Success is simple: imagine it (wild success) and then work harder than everyone else to achieve it.
AAD Questions:
What part of AAD are you looking forward to and why?
All of it. I’m a first-timer and can’t wait to meet kindred spirits – others who love to read (or write) the same stuff I do.
What panels are you on for AAD this year?
None this year. I’m taking advantage of my first year to soak up as much as possible.
The Steampunk Ball and the Mythological Masquerade seem to be talked about a lot this year. Are you going to be in costume this year for the steampunk ball and Mythos party?
Oh yes. I’ve been having a blast working out my costume ideas. For the Mythological Masquerade, I’ll be the demon Lilith. And, I’m going full steam ahead for the Steampunk Ball.
AAD is unlike other conferences. Can you tell us why you think Authors After Dark works for both the authors and readers?
I think it has magic. Designed with the readers in mind, it doesn’t put the authors on pedestals. Authors and readers alike get to hang out together and mingle. And that, I think is pure awesomeness.

What do you hope to get from AAD (besides tons of books)?
New friends, reacquainted old friends, fond memories and more additions to my to-be-read pile.
