You can run from the grave, but you can’t hide

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She’s still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head-wanted: dead or half-alive - means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she’ll find that desire lasts forever…and Bones won’t let her get away again.

Book Review:

Just plain fun reading pleasure. I really enjoyed this book. I find that this second installment of this series was a lot of fun to read. The main character of Bones really makes you fall in love with him. I really like the humor between the characters in this book.

The real fun of this book is that there’s always some action that Cat, our heroine takes that leads to other problems later on in the novel. What I like about her is that she is very focused on her goals and does that with the team that her boss has put together. You see a bit of compassion with her regarding Ian, who is the sire of Bones and this comes back to bite both her and Bones as well.

Now when Bones comes back into her life at her friends wedding was just priceless. The one liners were great. I really enjoyed the wedding scene because it really shows that Bones and Cat still have feelings for one another. I found some of the one liners that he gave Cat’s mother were hilarious and just seeing them together reminds Cat of how much she missed Bones. Loved the chemistry of Bones and how caring he was towards her and doesn’t take any of Cat’s mother crap. I really enjoyed the scenes.

Plus not to mention as the book goes along you know that there will be some major reveals near the end of the book. I really enjoyed the way that the story or mystery unfolded. Someone has put a price on her head and Bones is a very good detective at finding out things about those who Cat has chosen to associate and work with at the FBI. We find out that Don is Cat’s uncle and he really wants to find his brother, who happens to be Cat’s father.

Lets also talk about the infamous Chapter 32. I was warned before hand that this was going to be one hot love scene. They weren’t wrong and WOW is all I’m going to say. It was hot, steamy, everything that I wanted and some. That scene is going to stay in my mind for a while. I recommend having some cold water when reading Chapter 32.

Plus we get a lot more information and twists regarding how Vampire society works. Really love how Cat and Bones got married well according to vampire society. The fight scenes were awesome especially when she had to fight Ian’s champion. Really did like the last few chapters a lot. Lots of action. Also like the fact that in this book that Cat got to meet her father. It was an interesting scene to say the least.

Really enjoyed this installment a lot.
