They’re here.

They ride.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell’s minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday…or let it ride…

Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of the days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, Regan Cooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he’s about to become a father.

Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he’s ever wanted-a family.

Book Review:

Larissa Ione gets better with every book. Her books are like a delicious sinful treat. This one was no exception. I really found that the stakes are raised even higher in this book. The hero and heroine really have an interesting relationship and at times I was like okay, this is going to be so good when they finally get together.
Reading the previous books in the series, is a must, so you can understand the premise of this book. Regan is in a bit of a pickle after the events of the last book. I mean she had sex with Thanatos who is the father of  her baby. Their chemistry in the last book was so hot. Yet when Thanatos finds out about the baby he almost goes nuclear. His anger is at an all time high about being deceived.

When Thanatos and Regan start living together he’s being a douche towards her as he wants revenge against her not realizing that there are forces manipulating events. Especially considering the issues with Pestilance, his brother. Than’s brother wants to cause the Apocalypse and needs Than’s seal to break.

The rest of this book is crazy with lots of action. Also there are some developments that just blow my mind away. I mean they were surprises that I didn’t think that would happen, but did. There are other factions at work here. Regan and Thanatos kid is suppose to save the world and has a destiny, but Pestilence has a plan that would break his seal, but that doesn’t has happened because of other characters.

Thanatos realizes as the book progresses that he really needs Regan in his life and maybe having love and a family is what he’s been missing. Yet things get so fast paced that every time you read the next page, someone is fighting, trying to get Regan’s baby or doing something to prevent the apocalypse and taking an extreme action. I really loved how many different turns people took in this book.

The ending of this book really surprised me. I was also surprised by the way that Ione made it possible for a character to be redeemed and will be focusing on him next book. It was just a great twist.

I think this is Larissa Ione’s best book.
