Sunday Love Affair #2 Rogue Rider by Larissa Ione
Sunday Love Affair is a new feature here at Books of Love which spotlights Romance and Urban Fantasy titles. I like reading them. I was inspired by Parajunkee and Book Addict Patti by their Romancing the Weekends and realize I miss reading Romances and Urban Fantasy. I've been wanting to spotlight them as well, so decided to start a feature.
Oh Button was made by me and Jennifer The Book Nympho did the text.

Book Synopsis:
Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues-and falls for a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming, and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man whom Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he’s also the kind of man who can be very dangerous…
Reseph may not know why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian’s life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian’s neighbors are killed, and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he’s putting Jillian in danger. And once it’s revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: Can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?
Book Review:
Pure action packed book with lots of romance thrown in as well. I think that this is Ione’s best book. What I love is that Reseph formerly known as Pestilence really gets a second chance at life and some love. The relationship between Reseph and Jillian was at the core of this book.
Reseph and Jillian are just a great couple. The way they meet is a little bit unconventional. I mean who finds a naked men lying in the middle of nowhere. Plus it doesn’t hurt that Jillian has a good heart and tries to take care of him. He’s also very nice eye candy to her eyes. You can tell that this is a man who has had something happen to him, but can’t tell what has really happened.
The chapters really fly fast in a Larissa Ione book. One of the things that I really enjoy about this book, was that the scenes between Jillian and Reseph are some of the most tender ones of all the couples in the series. What I also like is that Jillian is not a week female at all. She’s been through a lot and is that perfect person for Reseph. There are things that she doesn’t understand, but will eventually.
Things get interesting when the past catches up to Reseph when he sees his siblings again. Those memories really cause some pain for both him and his siblings. Reseph has done some horrible things as Pestilence. Pestilence is really evil and everything that he did as Pestilence, Reseph feels like he has to make amends and does.
Yet Reseph is a douche towards Jillian at times when he tries to make her realize that she’s not a one night stand for him. Jillian and Reseph have some hot scenes together and their love scenes are everything that I’ve come to expect of the couples in this series. Smoking hot that you need some water while you are reading these scenes.
Also love the surprises that she throws in during the book. The Horsemen finally found out who their father is. I was really surprised by who it turned out to be. Not to mention their was surprising turns as to who was working for whom and things weren’t as they seemed to be. Reseph really was such an amazing character to read as he was wrestling with things he had done and the man he wanted to be for Jillian and his future.
An excellent action packed book.
